Green Room ("the app") is an exam-preparation app for professional IT certifications. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account identifier. Your email address (magic-link sign-in) or Apple sign-in subject identifier. We do not collect your name, contacts, or precise location.
- Learning data. Quiz attempts, answers, study-plan progress, streaks, and study-guide reading progress, linked to your account so your progress syncs across sessions.
- Subscription status. Purchases are processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat. We receive an anonymous app-user ID, the product you purchased, and its status/expiration — never your payment details.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no ad trackers, no third-party analytics SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with data brokers.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
How your data is stored
Data is stored on AWS (us-east-1) behind authenticated, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Question content is cached on your device for offline study.
Service providers
- Apple — app distribution, in-app purchases, Sign in with Apple.
- RevenueCat — subscription status management (RevenueCat privacy policy).
- Amazon Web Services — hosting and database infrastructure.
- Postmark — transactional email delivery for magic-link sign-in.
Your choices
- Delete your account. In the app: Account tab → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, learning data, and subscription records from our servers. You can also request deletion by emailing support@yourgreenroom.co.
- Manage or cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are managed in your App Store account settings (Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions).
- Access or correct your data. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Account and learning data are kept while your account exists. Magic-link tokens expire after 15 minutes. When you delete your account, associated personal data is removed from our primary systems immediately and from backups within 30 days.
Children
The app is intended for professionals preparing for certification exams and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
